About
ITSUKI is an illustrator, creating digital images and graphics to give projects a unique feel, as well as incorporating diversity and into all their work by illustrating individuals of different races, disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion.ITSUKI's illustrations are influenced by their unconventional background; living in Brazil as an English teacher, working as a performer, and undergoing an apprenticeship in a tattoo studio in Tokyo, leading to an exciting freelance career working remotely in the countryside of Japan. When ITSUKI isn't preoccupied with projects, they also work as a translator, Japanese Sign Language interpreter, learning American Sign Language and involving themselves in the D/deaf community.
Mesaku Design is named after the Japanese kanji “黥” which describes the act of tattooing near the eye. Although this was a form of punishment in the 18th century, Mesaku Design was brought into the world with the mindset of producing eye-catching designs that leave a mark, but not literally!
